BSn Doctypes Description:

This handbook provides end user documentation for both the "public" and "smart" doctype distributions. Common to both software packages is the Isearch architecture. This open search engine API provides the basis for search/retrieval services for Isite and interBasis¹.

A FREE doctypes suite is being distributed by CNIDR as part of the public Isite distribution. This distribution is a public service initiative of CNIDR and BSn to advance the development of Z39.50 and WWW catalogue services. BSn is committed to the free version and it is under continuing development and shall include, in time, as many features as is compatible with the public search engine.

The doctypes are NOT public domain but the Intellectual Property of BSn and are protected by numerous international conventions as well as national legislation. Versions are being made freely available via CNIDR as part of the public Isite and Isearch distributions in both source and binary forms under a very liberal license agreement. Please read it NOW.
